8. Content and licenses
Your content stays yours. A League owns the content it publishes — its name, logo, pages, articles, schedules, and media. You own the content you upload.
The license you give. By uploading content you grant the League you uploaded it to, and us, a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display (for example, generating a thumbnail), and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service and the League’s programs. A League’s further use of photos — on its website, social media, or in fundraising materials — is governed by the photo and media release in its own agreements and by any opt-out you exercised there. The license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period or where a record must be preserved.
Photos of minors. Uploaded photos are held for review, are published only after a League administrator approves them, and are visible only to signed-in members of that League. They are never made public by the platform.
Our content. The Service itself — the software, design, “LaxLeague” and “HRD Lax Leagues” names and marks — belongs to us. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended. Nothing here transfers ownership of it.
Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@laxleague.com with enough detail to identify the work and the material, and we will respond.
